HOW IT ALL STARTED
Our story
Our founder Mary Anne started her pet-sitting service in 1986 at the suggestion of a friend, who needed someone to watch her pups while she went on vacation. Soon, pet sitting became her full-time job. As more and more clients requested dog walking, her services grew to include daily dog walks — which eventually became her most in-demand service!
Now, Mary Anne leads a team of fellow pet pros who share in her paw-ssion for animals and exceptional service.

Meet the folks behind the leash
Mary Anne, CEO and owner
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved animals. As a kid, I begged my father for a dog and when he said “no”, I began knocking on neighbors' doors to ask if I could walk their dogs. When I was 15, I also started working for a pet shop, a job I loved so much that I would ride my bike 10 miles just to spend time there (much to my mother’s dismay). Later, I went to school for kennel management and spent several years helping out at local dog shows, before a friend suggested I start a pet sitting service.
And the rest is history! I grew up in Holliston and enjoy biking, hiking and spending time with my college-age daughter. I’m also the proud paw-rent of a collie, husky, poodle and cat.

I have had a deep passion for animals since I was a little girl. I have been working with dogs and other pets for 14 years now and have loved every minute! I also enjoy hiking, camping and anything outdoors.

I have always had a passion and compassion for all animals. In my early 20s, I studied veterinary technology and always took a dog home for the weekend from the shelter, eventually adopting one. After several years of toiling away at desk jobs, my path steered me toward a fulfilling career in social services, serving homeless families due to domestic violence. After a series of traumatic events, I turned to animals (horses in particular) for solace and healing. I am currently studying dog psychology and animal behavior in my spare time. I believe that if we learn their language in the same way they strive to learn ours, we can have a wonderful and fulfilling relationship with the animals we share our lives with. My time at Daily Leash brings me boundless joy every day. I feel so privileged every time I gain the trust of my magical four-legged friends! I love to garden, sew, and craft in my spare time. I once bragged that I could fit all my craft supplies in a box. My husband asked me not to call our home a box (a quote from a social media site, but very accurate)!

Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’m so happy to be working with them every day. I have many years of experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles and small animals. Although walking and playtime are much of what I do, I also enjoy training. Outside work, I am very connected to nature and love being outside. I also have a passion for photography, especially for local wildlife. Having the opportunity to go to work and make connections with such nice families and sweet dogs is the best part of the job. I always look forward to meeting new furry friends!

I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats, a little Zuchon named Chloe, and a love for whatever creatures I could find outside and under the sea. I’ve been an advanced scuba diver since I was 13 and love traveling! I currently have a mini zoo of reptiles, frogs, invertebrates, rodents and a couple of cats, too. One day, I plan to own my exotic animal store so I can spend my days teaching people how amazing they are. I love dogs, but it’s not the right time to have my own…so I work with them at Daily Leash instead! I hope to adopt a pitbull or German shepherd when the time comes. I love spending my days caring for and making animals happy, so your pet(s) will be safe with me!

Hello! My name is Charlotte and I’m a junior in college, I study studio art and minor in art history. I grew up with animals with my first pet being a chihuahua that was added to our family just days after I was born. From that day my love for animals has grown and I’ve never been pet-less since. I currently am a servant to three dogs and the laziest cat in the world.

I've been working for Daily Leash since January of 2023. I love the outdoors and animals in particular. I live in Hopedale and have owned dogs my whole life. My walking philosophy is that it's your dog's time! I'm there to keep them safe and happy while they do their thing, whether they want to run for the whole duration or sniff one patch of grass the whole time. Big or small, spazzy or lazy, I'm happy to accommodate your furry friend's specific needs. I'm comfortable with any size or personality type. I treasure the relationships I build with each pup and look forward to meeting yours!
